CANTON -- The Edward John Noble Guild of Canton-Potsdam Hospital recently completed its annual contribution to the Hospital Foundation. This year’s contribution totals $43,082.40; the largest in the Guild’s 59-year history.

The Guild’s donation includes $22,000 for pediatric probes for echocardiography, $8,000 for a defibrillator for Ambulatory Surgery, $4,000 for an e-stimulator for Canton Physical Therapy, and several smaller grants for patient services across the Hospital. In addition, the Guild funds two nursing scholarships at SUNY Canton, and helps underwrite the cost of the Hospital’s annual Cancer Survivors’ Day, which will take place this year on June 5, 2011.

The EJ Noble Guild conducts a Fall House Tour, Holly Berry Bazaar, Soup Luncheon, and Dinner Dance and Auction. In conjunction with the Potsdam Guild, the Noble Guild also sponsors an annual golf tournament. These activities not only raise funds for the Hospital, but also serve as a bridge between the Hospital and the community.

“It is a privilege to be able to give our Hospital a significant amount of money to help towards implementation of new technologies and needed essentials,” noted Guild President Judy Chase. “We continue our dedication to helping make Canton-Potsdam Hospital the best healthcare facility in the area.”
