HERMON — A Hermon man was arrested Sunday following an investigation that a motorist had intentionally swerved his at another vehicle on CR 21 Oct. 9, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Dennis L. LaPoint Jr. 33, was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to keep right, officers said.
LaPoint reportedly drove his 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee into the oncoming lane on purpose and nearly struck a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500, deputies said.
The truck, driven by a male, had three other occupants other than the driver, two of which were infants in child-restraint seats, officers said.
The complainant had an order of protection against LaPoint, deputies said.
LaPoint was issued tickets returnable to Hermon court Oct. 21.
