DEKALB JUNCTION – Apartment residents held an alleged burglar until St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene early Saturday morning after they caught him climbing into a bedroom window.

Deputies said Jacob D. Martinez, 18, of 1 Fisher St., Canton, was charged with third degree attempted burglary, a felony, fourth degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, and trespassing.

He was caught entering the bedroom of an apartment attached to Dale’s Grocery, 4327 U.S. Hwy. 11 by the apartment tenants, who called 911 at 12:16 a.m., deputies said.
