CANTON -- St. Lawrence County Clerk Mary Lou Rupp reports that the county’s share of revenue from state Department of Motor Vehicle transactions has increased by 20 percent in the first quarter of 2012 over the first quarter in 2011.
Rupp said that “The hard work of our dedicated staff at the local DMV offices located in Canton, Massena, Ogdensburg and Gouverneur helps keep our local property taxes down.”
The county keeps 12.7 percent of the revenue from transactions that are processed locally.
License and registration renewals can be done locally by visiting one of the local offices or by mail to them.
