St. Lawrence County authorities are warning that travel this morning could be hampered by flooding and road closures as flood advisories remain in effect.
The St. Lawrence County Sheriff's office and the county Office of Emergency Services warn of extensive, dangerous road flooding and road closures countywide. They say these issues could persist all day Friday. They ask people to monitor local media for information about possible event postponements.
"The North Country has received extremely heavy rainfall that is causing flooding in areas not normally seen," the statement, from county officials through the sheriff's department, says.
"State, county and local DPW and highway crews are mobilized and working in problem areas; please be aware of their possible presence and utilize caution in the work zones," they said.
