Cancer Services Program of St. Lawrence County and St. Lawrence County Employees in collaboration with Hair Designs of Canton offered “Pink Hair Extensions” for the month of October to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The joint effort raised a combined total of $2,320.

The monies raised were donated to the Gouverneur Business Women’s Breast Cancer Walk Fund.

Their mission is to help breast cancer patients during and after treatment that are having financial difficulties. The funds stay and help breast cancer patient’s right here in St. Lawrence County.

The Cancer Services Program of St. Lawrence County provides free breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screening to the uninsured residents of St. Lawrence County. Call 386-2325 to screen for eligibility.
