The St. Lawrence County Board of Elections is interested in speaking with people who might consider becoming paid election inspectors.
If you are registered to vote as a Republican or Democrat, you qualify as a possible election inspector.
Inspectors receive $35 for training, $120 for Primary Election Day, and $200 for General Election Day.
The board says they are in need of inspectors in the Gouverneur region, the towns within the Adirondack Park, and in the Massena region, but they will take people from all areas.
Anyone who serves as an elected official may not serve as an election inspector.
If you are willing to travel, they would like to know how far you are willing to drive to cover a polling place.
Call the St. Lawrence County Board of Elections if you’re interested or have any questions at 379-2202.
