Cool, cloudy day expected in St. Lawrence County; Sunday forecast calls for snow, sleet, freezing rain

A cold front will push through the St. Lawrence Valley today bringing in increase in clouds with isolated drizzle or flurries possible, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Expect a high today around 44 with an overnight low of 21.

Rain, snow, sleet and freezing rain are possible Sunday night into Monday, forecasters say.

The high Sunday will be around 36 and an overnight low of 31 is likely, the service says.

New slow and sleet accumulation of 1-2 inches in possible.

The forecast through Friday is as follows:

Sunday

A chance of snow before 1pm, then snow likely, possibly mixed with rain. Increasing clouds, with a high near 36. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Sunday Night

Rain and snow before midnight, then rain, snow, and sleet between midnight and 1am, then rain after 1am. Low around 31. East wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Monday

Rain and snow showers likely before 9am, then a chance of snow showers between 9am and 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 36. West wind 7 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 21. Northwest wind around 8 mph.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 31. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming north in the afternoon.
