COLTON – Someone apparently has stolen Colton’s memorial Christmas tree.
The memorial Christmas tree, which was lit up every night inside the Colton Memorial Gazebo behind the Colton Museum, is missing.
Resident Cynthia Hennessy said that as she drove by on Sunday, “it looked empty, and Monday morning I noticed it was really gone.”
She said there are snowmobile tracks around the gazebo.
“It was the intention of the town to keep the tree lit each night through Colton Winterfest, which will be the end of January,” Hennessy said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Colton Town Hall at 262-2810.
