Cold today, tomorrow, then warming in St. Lawrence County

High temperatures will be below normal through Saturday night before it warms up to more seasonal temps, according to the National Weather Service forecast for our region.

Some clouds will move and there is a slight chance of scattered rain or snow this afternoon and tonight before the sun returns tomorrow.

It will remain cool with highs today near the freezing mark, down to the low double digits tonight, and 25 to 30 degrees tomorrow.

Tomorrow night clouds will blow through with a low around 20 before the sun and warmer temps return Sunday. It will be windy Sunday with a high near 50.

Overnight lows are expected to be around 40, and highs in the 50s with some clear skies and some clouds Sunday night through Thursday, according to the NWS.

The NWS forecast for the St. Lawrence River Valley and northwestern Adirondacks:

Today: A slight chance of snow showers after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 32. West wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Scattered snow showers, mainly before 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 11. North wind between 5 and 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 27. North wind between 3 and 7 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 19. South wind between 5 and 7 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 49. Southwest wind between 7 and 11 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Sunday Night: Clear, with a low around 38.

Monday: A chance of showers after 1pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 54. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Monday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 58.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 41.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 56.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 37.

Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 56.
