POTSDAM — The Clarkson Construction Engineering Management Consulting Group (C3G) is hosting a public design charrette on active transportation along the U.S. Route 11.
The event will be held on March 4 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the town hall, 18 Elm St.
The charrette, an intensive planning session where citizens, designers and others collaborate on design ideas, will focus on transportation safety improvements for the corridor.
C3G has been working with the Town and Village of Potsdam to assess the safety of active
transportation along the Route 11 corridor stretching from Clarkson University to Walmart. After conducting multiple public information sessions, the group is now moving forward to begin compiling potential designs.
The design charrette is an occasion for the public and businesses along the corridor to voice hopes and concerns on possible transportation improvements within the study area.
There will be maps of the Route 11 corridor that can be marked up with your ideas and recommendations.
The C3G team will be in attendance, as well as members of the Potsdam Complete Streets Committee, to engage in discussion and answer questions.
