BURKE – The Wilder Homestead, boyhood home of the husband of author Laura Ingalls Wilder, is open daily through Sept. 30.
Located east of Malone on County Route 23, the Wilder Homestead offers tours of the museum, barns and childhood home of Almanzo Wilder. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. The last tour begins at 3 p.m. each day.
Admission is $7.50 for adults, $7 for senior citizens, $4 for ages 6 to 16 and free under age five. The website address is www.almanzowilderfarm.com.
