A broad area of low pressure to our north will gradually sink southwards, bringing chances for showers and thunderstorms and cooler temperatures today and Thursday in St. Lawrence County, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Coverage of scattered afternoon showers decreases into the weekend, with most areas
experiencing dry and seasonable conditions, NWS says.
Expect a high temp of 83 today with winds of 7-11 miles per hour and gusts as high as 21 mph, forecasters say. Overnight the low will be around 63.
The next weather disturbance to bring more widespread precipitation to our region is scheduled to arrive Sunday into next Monday, the service says.

A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 10am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. West wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. Light west wind.
Friday
A 30 percent chance of showers after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. Northwest wind 3 to 7 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
