St. Lawrence County may have avoided the blizzard pummeling much of the Northeast, but it has not escaped the storm’s effects on holiday travelers.
Cape Air has cancelled flights to and from Albany in Massena and Ogdensburg until tonight, and Trailways bus drivers warned passengers in Potsdam that their connecting busses might not be operating downstate.
Most of New England and the greater Albany area are in the midst of the storm.
However, all is predicted to remain calm in St. Lawrence County, according to the National Weather Service.
This afternoon, there’s only a chance of snow predicted. The day will be mostly sunny, with a high near 18, but with wind chill values as low as -1.
Northwest wind between 9 and 14 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph intensify the cold. Tonight will be mostly clear, with a steady temperature around 13. Wind chill values may be as low as -1, with a west wind between 8 and 11 mph.
On Tuesday, NWS predicts sunny skies, with a high near 24, and wind chill values as low as zero.
There’s a slight chance of snow showers Tuesday night.
Temps will continue to climb Wednesday with a mostly cloudy day, with a high near 31.
No precipitation is predicted through Friday.
