CANTON – The Canton Village Board approved the following staff and committee appointments at its organizational meeting held Monday night.

Village attorney: Gerald Ducharme.

Village Historian: Linda Casserly.

Budget Officer: Sally Noble.

Deputy Clerk: Megan Mousaw.

Deputy Treasurer: Melinda Pearson.

Registrar: Sally Noble.

Deputy Registrar: Megan Mousaw.

Planning Board Chair and member: Barry Walsh.

Zoning Board of Appeals Chair: Conrad Stuntz.

Zoning Board of Appeals member: Caitlin Gollinger.

Economic Development: Trustee Barbara Beekman and Deputy Mayor Anna Sorensen - includes Canton/St. Lawrence County Chamber liaison and Steering Committee.

Finance: Sorensen and Mayor Michael Dalton - Banking & Audit Committee, budget and grants.

Infrastructure: Sorensen and Trustee Klaus Proemm - includes buildings, lights/streets/sidewalks, and water and wastewater.

Public Safety: Dalton and Trustee Beth Larrabee - includes police and fire.

Recreation: Beekman and Larrabee for golf course; Dalton and Larrabee for joint recreation.

Shared Services: Beekman and Proemm - includes agreements/space, assessor, code enforcement, economic development, recreation, and website manager.

Communications & Technology: Sorensen and Beekman.
