CANTON – Town Highway Superintendent Steve Smith told town board members Wednesday, Sept. 14, that extra pipes have been laid at flood locations on the Irish Settlement Road.
Smith also pointed out there are plans to add an additional pipe at a second flood spot on the Irish Settlement Road along with additional pipes at a chronic flooding problem on the Old DeKalb Road.
The Finnegan Road project is completed, noted Smith who thanked the St. Lawrence County paving crew for an excellent job.
The town highway crew has installed 240 feet of underground drainage pipe along an area of the Rensselaer Falls Fire Department driveway.
Roadside mowing is still underway, Smith reported.
