CANTON — The Canton town board at its Thursday, Nov. 12 meeting approved the RS 2417-A Standard Work Day and Reporting Resolution.
The resolution, required by the state comptroller, establishes standard work day hours for town officials who participate in the state retirement system.
The resolution states that town justices Mike Morgan and Rosemary Phillips, along with Town Councilman Jimmy Smith, have an established 6-hour work day, the minimum amount the comptroller requires on the resolution, even if the elected officials work in their capacity for fewer hours.
