CANTON – A Canton Central school bus was in what school officials call a fender-bender this morning.
At about 9:30 a.m., bus 21 was rear-ended on Riverside Drive, according to a report received in the district office.
“No injuries were reported, but there was damage to both the car and the bus,” a statement from the district said.
The statement said New York State Police, St. Lawrence County Sheriff, and Canton Fire and Rescue emergency personnel responded to the scene.
The children were checked by emergency responders before being transferred to another school bus and taken to school, according to the school.
“Canton Central would like to thank all emergency personnel for their timely response and assistance,” the statement said.
