CANTON — State Police have charged a Canton man with multiple charges following a physical domestic incident on Old Dekalb Road, police say.
Quinton J. Lancto, 32, was charged with second-degree strangulation, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree harassment and second-degree unlawful imprisonment, police say.
Trooper responded to a cal for a physical domestic incident on Old Dekalb Road on Oct. 1, police say.
According to police, Lanco and the victim were involved in a verbal argument which led to Lancto placing his hands around the victim’s neck causing the victim not being able to breathe.
Police say Lancto prevented the victim from leaving and threw the cell phone into a field as the victim attempted to call 911.
Lancto was arrested and arraigned in Town of Canton Court before being remanded to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $1000.00 bail, $2000.00 bond.
Lancto is due in Town of Canton Court later in October.
