The New York State Police in Malone are asking the public for assistance in locating an armed kidnapping suspect who is on the run after his victim escaped.
Robert J. McCann, 27, of Brushton, is wanted for his involvement in a kidnapping which occurred on Oct. 5.
The victim in this case is no longer being held by McCann.
McCann is believed to be in possession of a black handgun and has been involved in mixed martial arts training.
He is presumed armed and dangerous.
He is reported as being 5' 9" tall, 190-200 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. He has a "Gracie Academy Symbol" tattoo on his right arm.
Anyone with information about McCann's whereabouts is asked to contact the New York State Police in Malone, New York at 518-483-5000.
