HANNAWA FALLS -- Brookfield Renewable Power is lowering the water levels upstream of the Hannawa Dam on the Raquette River to safely re-install dam flashboards damaged during the recent floods.
The lowering of the water is expected to begin Saturday night.
The work is expected to be done by Tuesday afternoon, when refilling will begin.
Brookfield says it is asking the public to be especially cautious when in, around or near this stretch of river during this period.
