BRASHER FALLS -- Brasher Falls Central School District has been named a recipient of a capacity building grant from Terra Science and Education Inc. to expand its elementary science laboratory.
Brasher Falls has been awarded $3,541 to expand the technology within the science departments of the middle and high school.
The grant project, led by Alexandra Clark, will add more advanced technology to prepare for the NGSS, improve laboratory science skills, enrich the science program, and inspire interest in science within the students at Brasher Falls.
Brasher Falls is one of 23 organizations across the state awarded capacity building grants from Terra Science and Education.
For the 2020 grant cycle Terra received 35 applications totaling more than $135,000 in grant funds.
Of the applicants, Terra awarded a total of $59,009.63 in grants to schools and educational non-profits to increase educational opportunities for students throughout the State.
