GOUVERNEUR – The first in a series of roundtables on minimum wage increase proposals hosted by Assembylman Ken Blankenbush is set for 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 3 at the Gouverneur VFW, 100 W. Main St.
“A minimum wage increase in New York State has recently been touted by the Assembly Majority, amid an uncertain economic recovery period for North Country small business owners, family farmers and manufacturers,” said the announcement from Blankenbush’s office.
“Assemblyman Blankenbush wants to ensure that affected citizens have an opportunity to speak out on the matter, especially busy job creators,” the announcement concluded.
Blankenbush is a Republican from Black River representing the 122nd Assembly Ditrict, which includes St. Lawrence County except townships along the St. Lawrence River, Ogdensburg, Canton, Potsdam and Macomb.
