Another COVID death reported in St. Lawrence County Friday

St. Lawrence County Public Health reports yet another person has died from COVID.

There are also 85 new cases as of Friday, Oct. 15.

COVID by the numbers in St. Lawrence County:

Total number of confirmed positives to-date: 11,676

Active cases: 604

Released from isolation: 10,948

Hospitalizations: 21

Deaths: 124

Total number of tests performed to date: 413,815

% of Fully vaccinated in St. Lawrence County: 54.2

% of St. Lawrence County positivity rate: 6.86

The St. Lawrence County Public Health Department is currently holding COVID-19 Vaccination clinics every Monday and Wednesday at 80 St. Hwy 310, Suite 2, Canton. To make an appointment, call 315-229-3452.

Vaccinations are available at local pharmacies.

If you or someone you know is homebound and is interested in receiving a COVID-19 vaccine, call Public Health at 315-386-2325.

Pfizer Booster Clinics - Appointments are required for the Booster Clinics.

Pfizer vaccine recipients 18 years of age and older who have completed their initial series of Pfizer at least 6 months ago and meet the eligibility criteria for a booster vaccination. To view these populations, please follow this link: CDC- Who is eligible for a COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Shot

Testing is being done at the locations listed below. Some urgent cares and provider offices are also performing testing. Testing is by appointment only.

The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center and Health Services reported two new positive COVID-19 cases in Akwesasne’s southern portion.

Five individuals have been released from isolation.

Twelve total active cases and one hospitalization still remain under the Tribe’s jurisdiction.

There are six individuals in quarantine.
