The “American Pickers” History Channel program is looking for people in St. Lawrence County with large collections who might be picked, and picked over, as part of the series.
County Clerk Mary Lou Rupp and the county Chamber of Commerce are circulating a message from a producer of American Pickers “looking for people with private collections,” Rupp said.
“If you know someone who has a large collection and would be interested in a visit from Mike and Frank [the “pickers” featured in the program], please let me know and I will forward the information or feel free to contact the producer directly,” Rupp said.
The show features the two men scouring the countryside for antiques and collectibles.
“Please note that Mike and Frank only pick private collections so no stores, malls, flea markets, museums, auctions, businesses or anything open to the public,” wrote American Pickers producer Jodi Friedman.
