NEWTON FALLS — A Newton Falls woman was charged following an alleged domestic dispute involving a knife and broken dinner plates, according to state police.
Troopers charged Charlene E. Crane, 58, on Sept. 18 with second-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal mischief, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Troopers responded around 5:45 p.m. to Elm Street East in Clifton for an alleged domestic dispute.
An investigation reportedly determined Crane and the victim were involved in a verbal argument which led to Crane picking up a knife and making threatening remarks toward the victim, while children were present.
Crane and the victim continued to have a physical altercation causing plates to be broken and a bruise on the victims’ arm from a plate, police said.
The victim did not need medical attention, and Crane left the residence until law enforcement arrived, officers said.
Crane was transported to SP Star Lake for processing and released on appearance tickets, troopers said.
