AKWESASNE -- Carey Terrance of Akwesasne continued his march towards the Mohawk International Raceway Frenchie's Chevrolet DIRTcar 358 Modified championship by scoring his seventh win of the season in Friday night's 25-lap 358 Modified feature event.

Other winners on CKON 97.3 FM and Keegan's Tobacco Shop night were Chris Raabe (Napanee, Ont.) with his eleventh DIRTcar Sportsman win, Dave "Bulldog" Bissonnette with his third DIRTcar Pro Stock win and Peter Cename with his second Bandit win.

Dave Heaslip grabbed the lead at the start of the Frenchie's Chevrolet DIRTcar 358 Modified feature, while Todd Stewart quickly moved into the runner-up spot.

The first caution waved on lap three for John Lazore, who stopped on the frontstretch after a flat tire. The restart found Stewart and Heaslip battling side-by-side for the lead, but the caution waved again as a uke tire was moved into the middle of the track.

The restart found Stewart moving to the top spot as Heaslip got shuffled high and dropped into a fierce battle with Tom Jock Jr., Carey Terrance and Perry Francis for second spot.

The race's pace again slowed on lap eight when Ryan Helm's car stopped on the backstretch and on lap 12 when Clayton Benedict clipped a uke tire coming out of turn four and did a 360 spin, while Todd Stone, immediately behind him, also did a 360 but kept his car moving.

The restart saw second-place running Carey Terrance dive low going into turns one and two and pull into the lead.

Terrance quickly opened up a two car-length lead while Todd Stewart, Dale Planck and Perry Francis waged a great battle for the second spot.

Jeff Sykes drew the caution on lap 16 for his stopped racecar and the final caution waved on lap 19 when the front end of Ryan Jacobs' car collapsed and he spun coming out of turn two.

The six lap dash to the checkered flag saw Terrance pull out a comfortable lead and charge on to his seventh feature win of the season. Todd Stewart pulled ahead of Dale Planck to score second, Planck was third, while Perry Francis and Todd Stone rounded out the top five.

Chris Raabe got by Kristian Smoke on lap five and powered on to grab his eleventh win of the season in the DIRTcar Sportsman division, with this win tieing Tim Hindley for the all-time DIRTcar record for "wins in a single season" at 24 victories.

Dylan Evoy came home second, Mitch Primeau posted a great run for third, while Sheldon Hoogwerf got past Brent Kelsey for fourth.

Joey Swamp charged to the lead at the start of the Pro Stock feature but his run ended in turn three on the first lap as the right front tire went flying off the car.

The restart saw Dave "Bulldog" Bissonnette and Dave Papineau running side-by-side for the lead, with Bissonnette pulling ahead to grab the top spot and going on to lead until the checkered flag flew.

Papineau posted his best run of the season for second, Ricky Thompson had another great run to finish third, while defending Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock champion Pete Stefanski emerged from a spirited battle with Dion Oakes and PJ Peters to finish fourth at the line by only a couple of feet. Oakes finished fifth and Peter sixth.

The Bandits offered the best race of the night, with Peter Cename holding off Joey Foster and Owen White in a battle for the lead that featured 3-wide racing on several occasions.

Cename captured his second win of the season, with Foster emerging second after a fierce battle with Owen White, with Bennett White fourth.
