The Roos (10-8), ranked 9th in the USCAA and winners of five of their last seven matches, beat Utica 25-18, 25-7 and 25-19 behind 26 assists, five kills and three digs from Mackenzie Mynter (Churchville, N.Y.).

The Lakers bounced back and took the next two sets 25-18 and 25-22.
The fourth set went back and forth and late in the game with the Roos holding on to a slim two-point lead, Marie Mason (Pulaski, N.Y.) came up with several outstanding defensive plays to keep the Roos alive.
After several terrific volleys and the Roos on game point, Reynolds buried a hard kill to force the decisive fifth set as the Roos won 25-23.
SUNY Canton fell behind early in the final set and this time could not pull out another rally losing 5-15.
Mynter had 19 more assists along with 12 kills and two digs in the nightcap. Most of her assists went to Reynolds who finished with 15 kills.
