NORWOOD – The fourth and final event in the Norwood Beach Duathlon series was held Tuesday night, ending a well-attended series of run/bike/runs to raise money for good causes.

“This was our 16th year of doing the series and throughout the years all the money went for the youth in the Norwood area,” said race organizer Mike diVincenzo.

Di Vincenzo says beneficiaries have been “the playground downtown, Norwood Beach, Boy Scout Troop 40, NNCS Language Club, Youth Soccer and other worthwhile needs of the youth in the Community.

“We would like to thank the many sponsors who support us every year. We would also like to thank the Norwood Community for allowing us to hold up traffic and sharing the road with the racers on the four race nights.”

DiVincenzo says the four races this summer drew a total of 457 entries, including 105 Tuesday night.
