Saints women's squash team falls 9-0 at Williams

St. Lawrence University's women's squash team lost 9-0 at 11th-ranked Williams on Saturday to complete the dual match portion of its schedule and will play in the Howe Cup National Championship competition at Princeton Feb. 18-20.

The Saints, ranked 26th nationally, finish their dual match season with a 3-10 record. Match opponents for the team nationals will be posted later in the week. The Saints are likely to be the second seed in the Epps Cup (D Division) competition.

Williams swept all nine matches against the Saints, but SLU players did come through with several competitive games in the match.

Williams' Alyssa Northrop beat Jen Hearn 11-1, 11-8, 11-5 at one, Hannah Kaemmer beat Frances Robinson 11-2, 11-2, 11-5 at two, Kavitha Mannava beat Molly Caplan 11-3, 11-5, 11-1 at three and Eliana Saltzman turned back Mimi O'Connor 11-4, 11-2, 11-5 at four.

Carolyn Kaemmer beat Kendall Harty at five, Mia Fry beat Cordelia McHugh 11-0, 11-7, 11-5 at six, Gibbs Cullen beat Patty Poekel 3-0 at seven, Hollis Miller beat Charlotte Edson 11-6, 11-6, 11-7 at eight and Katherine Belk beat Parker Benedict 11-6, 11-4, 11-5 at nine.
