The St. Lawrence University women's basketball team earned a spot in the Park Lodge Tournament championship game after defeating Framingham State College, 72-59, on Saturday night.

The Saints improve to 6-2 on the season, while Framingham falls to 5-3.

"After a slow start we turned it on and played well for much of the game," said Coach Dan Roiger. "We had mental lapses at times, but also flashes of solid play. We will look to bring it all together tomorrow against Regis College."

First-year student Kelly Legg scored a game-high 22 points, making 8-of-12 from the floor while shooting perfect from the free throw line. Junior co-captain Casey Capello joined Legg in double figures with 12 points.

The Scarlet and Brown converted on nine of its three-point attempts, while holding Framingham to just one in the game. St. Lawrence also forced 25 turnovers, giving up 19 of their own. Framingham out-rebounded the Saints 34-29 in total rebounds.

The Saints will battle host Regis College for the Park Lodge Tournament title. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00pm.
