The St. Lawrence University women's tennis team, ranked No. 17 in the Northeast, concluded its spring trip to Orlando, FL with an 8-1 victory over St. Mary's College.
The Saints, who remained undefeated with a 7-0 overall record, were led by first-year students Olivia Arroyo and Anna Young, who both won all of their matches during the trip.
Senior Hillary Drewry earned the 7-8 (2), 6-0 win at No. 1, while first-year student Elkie Vandenbeemt and Arroyo each claimed dominating wins at No. 2 (6-1,6-0) and No. 3 (6-0, 6-2), respectively. Juniors Elizabeth Geer and Shannon Murphy captured wins at No. 4 (6-1, 6-4) and No. 5 (6-2, 6-4), respectively, while Young rounded out the singles scoring with a 6-3, 6-0 in.
In doubles play, Drewry and Vandenbeemt paired up to blank their opponent, 8-0 at No.1. The No. 3 pairing of Arroyo and Young claimed an 8-6 win.
The Saints completed a successful spring trip and will return to the courts on March 24 for a match against Vassar in Poughkeepsie, NY.
