St. Lawrence University's men's squash team lost 7-2 at Williams College on Saturday and will take a 10-8 dual match record into its final match of the regular season, Feb. 19 at home against Vermont.
The Saints, ranked 13th nationally, had several outstanding matches against the 11th-ranked Williams team with Vir Seth and Thoma Kraft coming away with the Saint wins and Nate Ticho also winning the exhibition match at ten.
Seth beat Jeremey Herrmann 3-2 at three in a marathon. Herrmann won game one 11-8, Seth won games two and three 11-3 and 12-10 before Herrmann forced game five with a 13-11 win in game four. Seth prevailed 11-9 in the decisive fifth game.
Kraft won in three straight against Ryan Eagan and Ticho won in five against Jared Zuckerman, 11-5, 6-11, 11-8, 7-11, 11-5.
Alex Dodge lost 3-0 to Will Gruner at one, Amay Merchant dropped a 3-0 decision to William Morris at two and Will Campo lost 3-1 to Nick Marks at four, 5-11, 11-3, 14-12 and 11-5. Taylor Foehl beat Jermaine Xaba 3-0 at five, Jack Ervasti beat Michael Badali 3-0 at six, Alex Greaves-Tunnell beat Tyler Stout 3-0 at seven and Andrew Maruca beat Russ Woeltz 3-2 at nine, 12-14, 11-5, 11-6, 5-11, 11-4.
