The St. Lawrence University men's soccer team will travel to Troy, NY on Thursday, Nov. 1st, to take on Rensselaer (RPI) in the Liberty League Tournament Semifinal. The game will be held at RPI's East Campus Stadium and kicks off at 7:00pm. There is no admission charge for the contest.
The Saints, ranked No. 15 nationally, are the third seed in the four-team field with a 5-2-1 conference record and a 13-2-2 overall mark. The Engineers finished first in the regular season standings with a 5-1-2 record (9-5-4 overall) and are the second seed based on a tiebreaker with Vassar College (5-1-2; 11-4-2). The first seeded Brewers will take on fourth seeded Union College (5-3-0; 12-4-0) in Poughkeepsie, NY on Thursday afternoon at 2:30pm. The winners of the two games play on Saturday, with highest remaining seed hosting.
St. Lawrence and Rensselaer played to a scoreless double overtime draw on October 12 at East Campus Stadium. RPI's goalkeeper Rob Dewald made five saves, while Saints senior goalkeeper Nate Goss-Woliner stopped two shots, including a one-on-one foot save on Adam Updegrove in the first overtime.
