The St. Lawrence University Saints moved to 2-0 in the Liberty League Tournament, defeating Vassar College 3-1 (23-25, 25-21, 25-13, 25-18) in their second match of the day.

The Brewers jumped out to a 15-7 lead against the Saints who were fresh off upsetting the top seed Clarkson. St. Lawrence was able to come back to life behind the hitting of senior Jordyn Buzza, who led a seven point run to bring the Saints to within one, 15-14. The blocking of the Brewer's front line was spot on, however, and despite a late Saint rally behind the hitting of Miller, Vassar survived to claim the first set, 25-23.

Vassar brought its momentum from set one into the second set, jumping out to a 7-3 lead, but Miller sparked the Saints on a 17-5 run to take the 20-12 advantage. The Brewers would not go away as Hilary Koenigs helped pull her team to within two points, 23-21. The Saints were able to take game two and make it 1-1 behind a Vassar service error and a kill by Lauren Drozynski.

In the third set, the two teams exchanged points until the score was tied at 8-8. The Saints again turned to co-captain Miller who led a 17-5 Saint run to help the host team take a 2-1 lead in the match.

The Saints and the Brewers were evenly matched for most of the fourth set until St. Lawrence began to pull away behind a strong offensive line. They would close out the set and the win in style behind back-to-back kills by Drozynski and Miller.

Miller paced the Saints with 18 kills and 24 digs, followed by Johann and Buzza with nine and eight kills, respectively. Rose had 37 assists and 21 digs. Katherine Pierce and Katie Prue both had 16 digs each.
