(Fort Kent, Maine)- The SUNY Canton men’s basketball team concluded their swing through Northern Maine with a 77-69 loss to the University of Maine at Fort Kent.
SUNY Canton outscored the Bengals 42-41 in the second half shooting 50 percent from the field, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a nine-point halftime deficit.Khalid Vaughn led the Roos with 18 points on Sunday
Khalid Vaughn (New York, N.Y.) scored a career-high 18 points to lead the Roos.
Irving Cato (New York, N.Y.) contributed 15 points and two assists. Tony Valentin (Perth Amboy, N.J.) added 10 points and seven rebounds and Silvon John (Bronx, N.Y.) had nine points and seven boards.
Jamar Thornhill scored 12 points off the bench for Fort Kent. Manny Odugbela also had 12 points for the Bengals along with three assists.
