With two minutes left in the first overtime Moubarak Agoro (Bronx, N.Y.) send a nice pass ahead to Cumella who blasted a shot into the net for his second goal of the season. It was also Cumella’s sixth career game-winning goal.
Agoro had given the Roos a 1-0 lead when he netted an unassisted goal in the 30th minute of play.
"This is the best we've played all year," said head coach Mark Howlett. "We struggled to finish on some shots but overall I'm very proud of the way they played this weekend."
The Roos out shot the Green Knights 35-12 including a 12-2 advantage in the first half.
Homero Flores (Tamaulips, Mexico) recorded nine saves for his second win of the year.
