(Albany, N.Y.) – Despite a season-high 25 points from junior Irving Cato (New York, N.Y.) the SUNY Canton men’s basketball team dropped a four-point loss to The Sage Colleges losing 67-63 at the Kahl Center in Albany.
Cato shot a scorching 61 percent hitting 11 of 18 shots from the field and he also grabbed 12 rebounds for another double-double.
Junior Woody Jules (Brooklyn, N.Y.) also reached double figures with 11 points and sophomore Khalid Vaughn (New York, N.Y.) added nine points, five rebounds and four steals.
Mason Horne led the Gators with 16 points and nine boards and Matt Farbotko contributed 15 points and seven rebounds.
The Roos are next in action this Sunday when they host the College of St. Joseph (Vt.) at 3 p.m.
