Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton baseball team opened its three game weekend set defeating D'Youville College, 9-6, Friday evening.
SUNY Canton (9-12) broke the game open with five runs in the second inning as they never trailed in the contest. Phil Tsiaras led the offensive output for SUNY Canton going 3-for-5 from the plate with a double and 2 RBIs, while Jesse Barton was 2-for-4 including a solo shot in the eighth inning.
Khalil Bratton (Queens, NY) earned his second win of the season on the mound throwing five innings. The sophomore gave up just seven hits while striking out seven batters.
The Roos will take on D'Youville again tomorrow in a doubleheader in West Seneca, NY beginning at 12:00 p.m.
