(Morrisville, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton women’s basketball team lost at Morrisville State College 70-51 Thursday night.
Freshmen Tricia Boland (Hammond, N.Y.) and Karina Stanford (Bronx, N.Y.) each scored 11 points for the Roos who were playing their seventh straight road game.
Boland knocked down three 3-pointers and dished out four assists and Stanford was a perfect 5-for-5 from the field and grabbed a season-high nine rebounds.
Junior Jackie Sedlacek (Endicott, N.Y.) had eight points and six boards and freshman Corrine Riegel (Bainbridge, N.Y.) added six points, seven rebounds and three assists for the Roos.
The Mustangs were led by Nijee Scott who had 13 points and eight rebounds and Dyshea Smiley added 12 points and three steals.
The Roos return home against the College of St. Joseph (Vt.) on Sunday, Feb. 12 with tipoff at 1 p.m.
