Sunday was as tense a game that has been played recently between these two rivals. Clarkson got out to a strong start, outshooting SLU at one point 8-1, then the Saints got some pressure in the later half of the first period, which led to a penalty and an offensive zone faceoff for St. Lawrence with 1.5 left on the clock. Of the draw, St Lawrence was able to knock the puck into the net at the horn.

Clarkson didn't waste any time in the second period as they took the opening draw and scored just :10 into the period. Zach Tsekos got his 4th of the season with an assist from Grant Cooper. Clarkson took the lead in the third period at 3:46 when Luke Mobley scored in tight. Josh Dunne and Grant Cooper were credited with the helpers, Cooper his second of the night.

St. Lawrence had a power play late and then pulled their goalie with 1:30 left in the game on an offensive zone draw, but Etan Haider and the Clarkson Defense were able to hold off St. Lawrence. Haider made 30 saves for his 4th win of the year.

With the regulation win, the Knights pull even with SLU in the standings, tied for second.

Clarkson will host Quinnipiac for 3 games this weekend, starting with a 5:00 faceoff on Friday.
