Potsdam, NY - A muddy track slowed the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team down after a season on turf, as the Golden Knights completed the campaign with a 6-0 loss to Oswego State Wednesday afternoon.
Clarkson finished the season with a 4-13 record overall, while Oswego State finished up at 7-10-1.
The game was fairly even in the first half as the Knights trailed in shots just 5-4, but a pair of goals put Clarkson in a 2-0 deficit. It wasn't until midway through the second half that the game got out of hand. Oswego scored four goals in the final 27 minutes, including twice in the last three minutes, to push the score to its final.
Stephanie Collins (Colton, NY) made eight saves for the Knights, while Liz Snow (Watertown, NY) played the final seven minutes for Clarkson. Oswego out shot Clarkson 16-8 and held a 7-3 lead in corner kicks.
