Clarkson University sophomore Tyler Cline (Tuxedo, NY) was named the Liberty League’s Golf Performer of the Week after a strong showing at the ECAC Tournament.
Cline came in second among 45 golfers at the ECAC Metro/Upstate Championships at the par-72 Blue Heron Hills Country Club. He shot 148 (76-72), just two strokes off the pace at the two-day event (October 6-7).
Clarkson concluded the two-day event in a tie for second place in the tournament. The Golden Knights were in second place among the nine teams after the opening day and then held on to finish in a tie for second. St. John Fisher won the event with a low team score of 602, followed by Clarkson (631), St. Lawrence (631), Potsdam (646), Oswego (660), Elmira (663), Hobart (668), Nazareth (677), and Utica (716).
