Junior righthander Bryan Chudy (Goshen, NY) tossed a five-hit shutout on Saturday for the Clarkson University Baseball team and was rewarded again on Monday as he was chosen as the Liberty League Pitcher of the Week.
Chudy, who shared the honor with a pitcher from Union, allowed only five hits and walked one batter over seven innings in a 2-0 victory over the Dutchmen. He coupled that with another victory earlier in the week while in Florida, giving up just a single run over four innings. For the week, he had two victories and posted a 0.82 ERA. The complete game shutout was Chudy's second career outing of such variety, and it was his sixth complete game overall.
