The St. Lawrence University swimming and diving teams suffered losses today against Hartwick in Oneonta, NY. The women (5-2) fell by the score of 136-90 and the men lost 166-56.
Sophomore Elizabeth Canne earned a first-place finish in the 100-breaststroke (1:12.77), while first-year students Zinnia Smith and Courtney Goodrich finished in second and third place, respectively.
Canne, first-year students Caroline Winslow and Molly Sneden, and Molly Spakowski teamed up to win the 200 freestyle relay (1:52.06).
On the men's side, first-year student Kirby Kaylor won the 100-breaststroke (1:09.67), while Luke Peleggi finished in second place (1:10.43).
First-year students Lane Heed, Billy Moran and Michael Murray teamed up with sophomore Luke Peleggi to win the 200 freestyle relay (1:40.41).
The Saints will celebrate "senior day" in their final home meet of the season on Feb. 4 when they take on Utica. The meet is scheduled to start at 2:00pm.
