Four St. Lawrence County members of the Northern New York Bassmasters club finished in the top 15 at the NY State B.A.S.S. Nation Chapter Federation Tournament on Chautauqua Lake in Western New York on June 21.
More than 180 anglers competed in the B.A.S.S. event held at Long Point State Park. The North Country anglers finishing in the top spots were:
• 3rd place: Brad Paradis, Ogdensburg, with 13.64 lbs. for $1,100
• 9th place Jessie Spellicy, Gouverneur, with 10.22 lbs. for $500
• 13th James Moore, Gouverneur, with 8.91 lbs. for $325
• 14th Tyler Capella, Canton, with 8.87 lbs. for $175.
Jim Bianchi of the Rochester Bassmasters won the event with 14.80 lbs.
The NY State B.A.S.S. Chapter Federation will hold its next event on the St. Lawrence River, Massena, Sunday, July 19 at the Massena Intake.
Two weeks later, the Bassmasters Elite tour returns to Waddington July 30 to Aug. 2.
