Senior Brendan Hofler (Glen Gardner, NJ) and sophomore Sean Parnett (Clifton Park, NY) both won a pair of individual races to lead the Clarkson University Men’s Swimming team past St. Michael’s College 124-97 in dual meet competition on Saturday afternoon at Fuller Pool.
Hofler finished first in the 200 IM (2:26.69) and the 100 Fly (1:04.29). Parnett won the 800 free (9:38.14) and the 400 free (4:42.83).
Senior Nicole Pera (Jamison, PA) paced the Golden Knight Women with first-place showings in the 200 IM (2:41.61) and the 100 Back (1:13.41). St. Michael’s defeated Clarkson 152-74 in the women’s meet.
Along with Hofler and Parnett, two other Knights won individual events for the men. Junior Mike Rowe (Glenville, NY) swan to a first-place finish in the 200 free (2:07.93) and sophomore Paul Telesca (Liverpool, NY) won the 100 free (57.81).
Rowe also teamed up with senior Kane Streichert (Norwich, NY), freshman Chris Plummer (Cheektowaga, NY) and senior Bob Stevens (Lakewood, NY) to win the 200 Medley Relay (1:56.57).
