The Clarkson University Volleyball team was able to raise nearly $300.00 for the Side-Out Foundation for breast cancer research in the month of October, and the Golden Knights' team will continue outside of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, maintaining a fundraising goal through the winter.

The Clarkson Volleyball program will be selling t-shirts and water bottles during the Liberty League Championships this weekend at Alumni Gymnasium. The Golden Knights play Vassar College at 5:00 pm on Friday, while Skidmore plays St. Lawrence University at 7:30 pm. The conference championship game is set for 4:00 pm on Saturday.

The few remaining t-shirts, available in black, are $12.00 each, while water bottles are only $1.00 each.

The Side-Out Foundation (Side-Out) was established in 2004 to unite volleyball players and coaches and to have them work toward the common goal of furthering breast cancer awareness, education and patient services. Side-Out supports teams nationwide in their volleyball tournaments, clinics and other fundraising efforts. The foundation offers practical support for fundraising in addition to educational material for participants in order to help them become effective advocates for breast cancer. Side-Out contributes the funds to organizations that serve breast cancer patients, whether it be in the form of research, medical services or compassionate support.

The Side-Out Foundation is a support and advocacy organization dedicated to making a significant and identifiable difference in the lives of breast cancer patients and their families by supporting clinical trials, increasing compassionate support services and educating communities.
