POTSDAM -- Junior Sean Parnett (Clifton Park, NY) won a pair of events for the Clarkson University Swim team, but Oswego State swept the Golden Knights in a dual meet Saturday afternoon at Fuller Pool.
The Golden Knights' men's team lost in a 132-100 decision against the Lakers, and the women's squad fell 129-90.
Parnett paced the field first in the 800 freestyle (9:32.49) and then won the 200 butterfly (2:27.06) to post nine points in each event for Clarkson. The only two other individual winners for Clarkson's men were senior Mike Rowe (Glenville, NY), who took first in the 200 backstroke in 2:16.17, and freshman Aaron Parysek (Spencerport, NY), who hit the pad first in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:53.14.
On the women's side, three individuals claimed race victories. Junior Jillian Brown (Kenmore, NY) took first in the 50 freestyle (29.78) and freshmen Kelly Ludeke (Burnt Hills, NY) won the 200 individual medley (2:45.72) and Kelly Mulvehill (Penfield, NY) placed first in the 200 breaststroke (3:12.54)
