St. Lawrence University senior Nordic skier Caroline Carpenter wrapped up a memorable 2012 season on Friday in the 15k Classic at the 2012 NCAA Championships at Bohart Ranch in Bozeman, MT. Carpenter raced in a time of 57:32.4 to land in 25th place overall.
"Caroline gave a tremendous effort today," said St. Lawrence head coach Ethan Townsend. "After finishing yesterday's race, she started battling a stomach bug that nearly forced her with withdraw from the classic. Just a very impressive showing overall."
Carpenter had a monster senior season, recording her top-8 collegiate finishes including a career-best fifth place finish at the EISA Championships.
Amy Glen of the University of Vermont won the women's 15k Classic in 57:32.4.
The 2012 NCAA Ski Championships wrap up tomorrow, Saturday, March 10 with the slalom race.
